Answer:

\text{Let Sum = P }

\text{→C.I = 4240}

\text{→N = 2 Years}

R_{1}  = 10\% \:  \textbf{and}  \: R_{2} = 15\%

⇒A  = P (1 +  \frac{r_{1}}{100} )(1 +  \frac{r_{2}}{100} )

 \textbf{For Successive Years}

⇒ A  = P = (1 +  \frac{10}{100} )(1 +  \frac{15}{100} )

⇒ A  = P( \frac{11}{10} )( \frac{23}{20} )

⇒ A  =  \frac{253 P}{200}

⇒C.I = A - P

⇒4240 =  \frac{253P}{200}  - P

⇒4240 =  \frac{53P}{200}

⇒848000 = 53P

⇒P =  \frac{848000}{53}  = ₹16000
