volume of sphere = volume of part of cylinder which was filled by submerged of sphere .

volume of sphere = 4/3πr³ =4/3π(6)³

volume of cylinder required part = πr²h
= πr²(32/9)

now,

4/3π(6)³ = πr²(32/9)
4 × 2 × 6 × 6 = 32/9 r²
4 × 2 × 4 × 9 = 32/9 r²
r² = 9 × 9
r = 9

so, diameter of cylinder = 18 cm
