Find area of ΔABC :

Given that ∠B = 90º

Area = 1/2 x base area x height

Area = 1/2 x 15 x 8 = 60 cm²

Find the length AC:

a² + b² = c²

c²  = 15² + 8²

c² = 289

c = √289

c = 17 cm

Find the area of ΔABD:

Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height

Area of triangle = 1/2 x 17 x 4 = 34 cm²

Find the area ABCD:

Area = ΔABC + ΔABD

Area = 60 + 34 = 94 cm²

Answer: (3) The area is 94 cm²

Here,

Given that :
<b><u><large><Marquee direction="left" behavior ="alternate"><large<\marquee>
∠B = 90º

We know that Area of∆=1/2×b×h

Now.

Area = ) 1/2 x base area x height

Area =) 1/2 x 15 x 8 = 60 cm²

====================

Using Pythagorean theorem

a² + b² = c²

c² = 15² + 8²

c² = 289

c = √289

c = 17 cm

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION;

Area of triangle = 1/2 x base x height

Area of triangle = 1/2 x 17 x 4 = 34 cm²

==========================

∆ABC=60

∆ABD=34

Then...

Area =)ΔABC + ΔABD

Area =) 60 + 34 = 94 cm²
