Answer:

x2+43x=90

We move all terms to the left:

x2+43x-(90)=0

We add all the numbers together, and all the variables

x^2+43x-90=0

a = 1; b = 43; c = -90;

Δ = b2-4ac

Δ = 432-4·1·(-90)

Δ = 2209

The delta value is higher than zero, so the equation has two solutions

We use following formulas to calculate our solutions:

x1=−b−Δ√2a

x2=−b+Δ√2a

Δ−−√=2209−−−−√=47

x1=−b−Δ√2a=−(43)−472∗1=−902=−45

x2=−b+Δ√2a=−(43)+472∗1=42=2
