 \frac{x - 5}{2}  -  \frac{x - 3}{5} =  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{5(x - 5) - 2(x - 3)}{10}  =  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{5x - 25 - 2x + 6}{10}  =  \frac{1}{2}

 \frac{3x - 19}{10}  =  \frac{1}{2}

3x - 19 = 5

3x = 24

x = 8
