3x-y = 40 (ii)

Putting the value of x in equation (ii)

3x-y = 40

=) 3(2y-90)-y = 40

=) 6y-270-y = 40

=) 6y-y = 40+270

=) 5y = 310

=) y = 310/5 = 62

Putting the value of y in equation (i)

x = 2y-90

=) x = (2×62)-90

=) x = 124-90

=) x = 34

Ans:- Value of x = 34

Value of y = 62
