Given : ( \sqrt{x^2 + y^2} )( \sqrt{x^2 - y^2)}

= \ \textgreater \ \sqrt{(x^2 + y^2)(x^2 - y^2)}

It is in the form of (a + b)(a - b) = a^2 - b^2

= \ \textgreater \ \sqrt{(x^2)^2 - (y^2)^2}

= \ \textgreater \ \sqrt{x^4 - y^4}

Hope this helps!
