1. An interesting question. I will consider the fossil fuels as coal, oil and natural gas. Coal and oil can not be recreated in a laboratory setting as it takes millions of years for these fuels to go from buried organic material to their final form. But, bio-diesel oil can be produced, which has many of the hydrocarbons found in crude oil. Natural gas can be made from decaying material, almost all methane, so I would say yes to natural gas.

2. Thus, those volatile materials under the earth’s crust which are used for generating energy are called fossil fuels. Coal, natural gas and oil are few examples of fossil fuels. These fuels are rich sources of carbon and hydrogen which make them valuable resources of energy.

3. Crude oil is first sent to the crude tower for fractionation. There can be several fractionation towers (also referred to as distillation towers) in a process plant. “Fractionation” is the separation of the lighter from the heavier fluid components, which occurs while the fluids are in contact with each other and are in equilibrium.

4. Steam coal, also known as thermal coal, is used in power stations to generate electricity. Coal is first milled to a fine powder, which increases the surface area and allows it to burn more quickly.

5. Burning hydrocarbon fuels produces carbon dioxide. Incomplete combustion creates poisonous carbon monoxide. Some of the products from burning fuels dissolve in rain water to form acid rain.
