please tell answer fast explain why a person stand on a cushion the depression is much more than when he lies down on it

when the person is standing the area in contanct (feet) is less compared to when the peson lies down (the whole body is in contact) as we know surface area and pressure are in insverse proportion ie the less the surface area the more the pressure and hence more depression

as we know that pressure is inversely proportional to the area so... that is why when a person stands then the surface area of his feet is very small and so pressure acting is very large as compared to when a person lies down on it.
