ex - ammonia sulphide

mixture- it is an impure substance made up of 2 or more kind of elements or compunds

ex - iron+ sulphur

(i)Compound are substances which can be formed by chemically combining two or more elements. Mixtures are substances that are formed by physically mixing two or more substances.

(ii)In a compound the presence of elements in compounds is in a definite quantity. But in an element the presence of substances in mixtures is  not in a definite quantity

(iii)A compound certainly has a specific formula on the basis of its constituents but Mixtures are devoid of a chemical formula
