Given -1 is a root of the polynomial

so (x+1) is a factor of the polynomial.

Dividing the polynomial by x+1, we get x² + x - 12 as the quotient

x² + x - 12
= x² + 3x + 4x + 12
= x(x + 3) + 4(x + 3)
= (x+4)(x+3)

Hence x = -12 and x = -3

Hence the other 2 roots are -12 and -3.

Hope this helps! All the best for tomorrow's exam :-)
