 \huge\bf\underline{\underline{ Given:-}}

  •  \bf initial \: velocity , u = 20 m/s
  •  \bf final \: velocity  , v = 0
  •  \bf distance \: travelled = 10 cm = 0.1 m

 \huge\bf\underline{\underline{To \: Find:-}}

  • retardation

 \huge\bf\underline{\underline{Formulas \: Used:-}}

 \boxed{\bf\red{ v² = u² + 2as }}

 \huge\bf\underline{\underline{ Answer :-}}

By using the formula ,

  \bf\red{{v}^{2}  =  {u}^{2}  + 2as}

 \bf0 =  {20}^{2}   + 2 \times a \times 0.1

  \bf \: 0= 400 + 0.2a

 \bf \: a \:  =  \frac{ - 400}{0.2}  \\

 \bf \:  \:  \:  \:  =  - 2000 \: m {s}^{ - 2}

 \bf \: since  \: it \:  \:  is  \:  \: retardation ,  a = 2000 m/s²
