60+40+ third angle = 180(ext. angle property)

thrid angle = 180-100

third angle = 80

60° = x ..(vertically opposite angles )

:. x = 60°

40° + x + y = 180 ..(sum of all angles of a triangle)

40 + 60 + y = 180

100 + y = 180

y = 180 - 100

:. y = 80°
