Answer:

By Pythagoras theorem

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the Pythagoras theorem,

b²+p²=h²

so,b²=h²-p²

hence,in the first triangle

b²=13²-12²

b²=169-144

b²=25

b×b=5×5

b=5

therefore,in the second triangle

b²=10²-6²

b²=100-36

b²=64

b×b=8×8

b=8

So,x is equal to base of first triangle+base of second triangle i.e 5+8=13.
