So opposite sides will be equal.

Therefore, x+y=30 ....( eq.1)

x-y=14 ..... (eq.2)

Solve eq 1 and eq 2 by adding.

We get, 2x= 44.

So, x= 22 cm.

Then y= 8 cm (By putting value ox x in any of those equations)
