Step-by-step explanation:

let that triangle =ABD IN the image

and let find the area of whole triangle ABC

total base=7+3=10

height =4

AREA OF WHOLE TRIANGLE

=

 \frac{1}{2} \times base \times height

=

 \frac{1}{2} \times 10 \times 4 = 20

Area of triangle ADC=

 \frac{1}{2} \times 4 \times 3 = 6

AREA OF TRIANGLE ABD=ABC-ADC

=20-6=14

14 sq units is the area of the obtuse triangle

Using Formula :

Area of obtuse angle triangle = \sf \frac{1}{2} \\ × Base × Height

Solution :

Here, Base of Given triangle = 7 + 3 = 10 unit

And Height of triangle = 4 Unit

Now, we have to Put these values in formula

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{2} \\ × Base × Height

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{2} × 10 × 4 \\

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{\cancel{2}} × 10 × \cancel{4}^{\: \: \cancel{ 2} × 2 } \\

  • Area of triangle = 10 × 2

  • Area of triangle = 20 Sq. Unit

Now, we have to Find area of small triangle

Because Area of obtuse angle = Area of whole triangle - Area of small triangle

Hence, here Base = 3 Unit

Height = 4 = Same as whole triangle

So, again

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{2}× Base × Height \\

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{2} × 3 × 4 \\

  • Area of triangle = \sf \frac{1}{\cancel{2}} × 3 × \cancel{4}^{\: \: \cancel{2} × 2 } \\

  • Area of triangle = \sf = 3 × 2 \\

  • Area of triangle = 6 Sq. unit

Now, finally for Area of obtuse angle Triangle

Area of obtuse angle Triangle = Area of whole triangle - Area of small Triangle

Hence, Area of obtuse angle = (20 - 6 ) sq. unit

  • Area of obtuse angle = 14 sq. unit

I hope it helps you ❤️✔️
