please tell it's urgent....
if we send a sound wave from water to air than it's wavelength and wavespeed will be changed I mean it will be decreased than why it's frequency remain constant as it should also get decreased with wavelength and wavespeed so why it's remain constant...
as frequency I forget but what I remember is total number of osiccilations made in 1 second is frequency as what I remember last time....
so please tell me why it remain constant as wavelength decreased so it's frequency also get decreased as it becomes short.. so why it remains constant??
please tell

Answer:

Although the wave slows down, its frequency remains the same, due to the fact that its wavelength is shorter. When waves travel from one medium to another the frequency never changes. As waves travel into the denser medium, they slow down and wavelength decreases.
