Given :-

  • 3x + 5 = 10(x + 5)

To Find :-

  • The value of x.

Solution :-

Given that, 3x + 5 = 10(x + 5)

=> 3x + 5 = 10(x + 5)

=> 3x + 5 = 10x + 50

=> 3x - 10x = 50 - 5

=> -7x = 45

=> x = -45/7

Hence,

  • The value of x is -45/7.

Alternative form :-

  • x = -6.428571

Verification :-

=> 3x + 5 = 10(x + 5)

[ Put x = -45/7 ]

=> 3(-45/7) + 5 = 10(-45/7 + 5)

=> -135/7 + 5 = 10(-10/7)

=> -100/7 = -100/7

Hence Verified !!
