\huge{\mathfrak{\underline{Egyptian\:\:Mummy}}}

A mummy is a body of a person or any living organism whose body is preserved after death.

Why did the Egyptians make mummies?

  • The Egyptians believed in Life After Death.

The method where people made dead bodies into mummies, they cast many magic spells on the dead body, and preserve it is known as mummification. The Egyptians also believed that the soul of these mummies would be born again when a body is mummified.

Not everyone's body after their death in Egypt was converted into mummies.

Whose Body Was Converted Into Mummy Then ?

  • Any rich person in Egypt who could afford to pay much and who believed in life after death were converted into mummies after their death.

The Egyptians strongly believed that any person who was dead would travel to another world and they'd lead a new life there. Their family members also put many essential things into their grave. They strongly thought that after their soul is re-born, they'll be using these essential items to live their life.

Not all Egyptians were buried in the tomb and were converted into mummies. As I said, people who afford to pay particular amount were only converted into mummies, In the same way, people who were rich were turned into mummies and were buried in a tomb. Poor people were buried normally in the sand.

\bold{Egyptian\:mummy}

A mummy is any deceased human or animal whose skin and organs are been preserved by either intentional or accidental exposure to chemicals, extreme cold, very low humidity, or lack of air, so that the recovered body does not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions. They are usually found in Egypt and therefore derive their name which is often called as Egyptian mummy.
