work
work is defined as the dot product of force and displacement in the direction of force applied
1.work is scalar quantity that has only magnitude no direction.
2.it is a dot product b/w force and displacement.
3.the S.I. unit of work is joule.
energy
energy is capacity of doing work the S.I. of energy is joule.
There are 2 types of energy in this chapter
1.kinetic
2.potential
the energy possed by a body due to its change in position or shape is called potential energy.
the energy posses by its virtue of its motion is kinetic energy.

prashant27: if any query to u I will help u
Anonymous: Ok thanks
prashant27: The combining power or capacity of an elements is known as valacy
prashant27: 1.valancy is determine whether it donate or gain
prashant27: 2.if it donate the electron it's valacy will be positive
prashant27: 3.if it gain the electron it's valacy will be negative
Anonymous: Okay

work= if we aplied any external force to any object that is called work and its unit is joule .

work=force × displacement= newton-meter

and according to work energy theorem energy can neither created nor be distroyed it will be transfered one form to another form .

as a example - we know a electric fan work on a work energy theorem we use there electric energy to start fan and after that electric energy is converted in mechanical energy.
