✯ Question 1 :-

A Rectangular plot is 20m by 15m in dimensions. Find the area of plot .

☯︎ Solution 1 :-

Length of plot = 20m

Breadth of plot = 15m

Area = Length × breadth

= 20 × 15

300m²

✯ Question 2 :-

Meena had Rs. 165.50. She bought salt for Rs. 18.25,

Wheat flour for Rs. 97.25. How much money was left with her ?

☯︎ Solution 2 :-

Total money = Rs. 165.50

She bought salt for = Rs. 18.25

She bought wheat flour for = Rs. 97.25

Total money spent = Cost of salt + Cost of wheat

= Rs. 18.25 + Rs. 97.25

= Rs. 115.50

Money left with her = Total money - total Money sent

= 165.50 - 115.50

Rs. 50

✯ Question 4 :-

Whose area is bigger? Calculate area of both.

☯︎ Solution 4 :-

Figure A - Square

Side = 4cm

Area = (Side)²

Area = (4)²

Area = 16cm²

Figure 2 - Rectangle

Length = 6cm

Breadth = 1cm

Area = (L×B)

Area = (6×1)

Area = 6cm²

∴ Area of figure A (Square) is greater than Figure B (Rectangle) .
