before the bursting of the cracker the total momentum is Zero. . hence after the burst its momentum needs to be Zero according to

law of conservation of momentum.hence the particles fly off in such a way that each one's momentum is nullified by the one flying off in opposite direction.

3) A glass pane of a window gets shattered when a flying pebble hits it, because the flying pebble is moving with some velocity while the glass pane is at the rest. When it hits the glass pane , it imparts momentum to the pane. Glass is amorphous solid and hence doesn't have cleavage property.
