If the tigers go extinct, the entire system would collapse.

Therefore, it's not just about saving a beautiful animal. It is about making sure that we live a little longer as the forests are known to provide ecological services like clean air, water, pollination, temperature regulation etc.

If tigers are to vanish from our forests then it will cause huge havoc in the ecological food chain where and the ecosystem, it would completely disrupt the food chain. Explanation: There would be huge amount of animals in the forests that were eaten by the tigers in the first place.

Some steps to conserve it

Answer:

The given figure is the Royal Bengal Tiger found mostly in the state of West Bengal in India.

1. The tiger is an important link in the food chain. It is a secondary consumer. If the tiger becomes extinct, it will disturb the balance of the food chain. Extinction of the tiger will slowly lead to overpopulation of the primary consumers and the producers ie.plants. It will also lead to Extinction of the tertiary consumers and the Scavengers which feed on the tiger.

2. Awareness needs to be spread on the importance of saving the tiger. One can prepare posters, organize various competitions and gather funds which can be used in efforts to protect the tiger.
