Answer:

Substituting a=-35 , b=10, c=-5 in :

1)a+(b+c)=(a+b)+c

L.H.S=a+(b+c)

= -35+{10+(-5)}

= -35+5

= -30

R.H.S=(a+b)+c

= (-35+10)+(-5)

= (-30)+ (-5)

= -40

since L.H.S=R.H.S hence verified.

Substituting a=-35 , b=10, c=-5 in :

2) ax(b+c) =axb+axc

L.H.S= ax(b+c)

= -35 { 10+(-5)}

=-35x 5

=-175

R.H.S=axb+axc

=-35x10 + (-35) x (-5)

= -350+ 175

= -175

since L.H.S=R.H.S hence verified
