if poles replies it's north pole

Every magnet comes with a north and a south pole. A north pole of one magnet attracts the south pole of another magnet and vice versa.

It is fairly easy to identify the north and south poles of a magnet.

This can be done by placing a magnetic compass close to the magnet without touching it. The compass needle which usually points to the north pole of the earth, should now to point one of the poles of the magnet.

That pole is the south pole of the magnet. the other end is the north pole.
