1) a = 1

d = 2-1 = 1

we have to find the sum upto 100

thus, we have n = 100

using formula:

Sn = n/2{2a+(n-1)d}

= 100/2{2×1+(100-1)×1}

= 50(2+99)

= 50×101

= 5050

2) a = 0.6

d = 1.7 - 0.6 = 1.1

we have to find the sum upto 100

thus, we have n = 100

using formula:

Sn = n/2{2a+(n-1)d}

=100/2{2×0.6+(100-1)1.1}

= 50(1.2+108.9)

=50×110.1

=5505
