Munro system is also known as ryotwari system. In this,the east india company direct contact with the owner of the land or landlord. They were bound to deposit revenue to the government and the revenue was fixed for 20 to 40 years whereas in mahal wari system,the company made a community of villages also known as mahal. In this,if a farmer is not capable of giving tax , then the whole mahal will have to pay the tax for that farmer.It was more profitable than Munro system.
