Hey dear,

Here's the answer you were looking for :)

TV AUTOBIOGRAPHY

Up until I was about 7, my family did not have basic cable. We only had broadcast television. My television viewing centered around PBS shows. My ultimate favorites were Arthur and Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood. When my grandma would baby sit me and I had to take a nap, I would imagine Mr. Roger’s would come over for some tea and have a chat with my grandma in the kitchen like they were old friends. When my family finally got basic cable, my life changed.

There was no need to go outside and play in my backyard. I had too much television that needed to be watched. Who could afford to play outside when there was such attractive programming on Nickelodeon, Disney, and Cartoon Network in it’s golden era. Throughout my childhood, when I need to tune the world out, I watch television, mainly cartoons. They hold a special place in my heart. My childhood love and appreciation for animation will never die.

My favorite shows were Spongebob , Loony Toons,  Full House, Boy Meets World, The Fresh Prince of Bell Air, Seinfeld, Kim Possible, Lilo and Stitch, Phil of The Future, Lizzie McGuire, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, Pokemon, Dragon Ball Z, and many many many more.

Television for children is a means for helping validate alien emotions and guide you through the perils of growing up. It’s a very powerful thing. As a child and an adult, I’ve noticed that nothing brings people together more than a shared love for a television program. It’s given my friends and I loads to talk about. All through out sixth grade, me and my friends every day would watch a Full House rerun and talk about it the next day in class. THE ENTIRE YEAR WE DID THIS AND WE LOVED EVERY MOMENT OF IT.

I’ve gone on dates with girls solely on the basis that we love the same show. My date and I would talk about why we love it for hours on end. My favorite genre of television to watch is the sit-com because it’s easy to digest and binge watch. It ‘s the most accessible genre because it stems so much from American Vaudeville, an art form I have a lot of respect for. And besides, who doesn’t love to laugh?

While hour-long dramas feature better story telling, they often are slow burns and take a much longer time to “devour”. I could watch around 3 episodes of Seinfeld in the time it takes to watch 1 episode of Boardwalk Empire.

Being a college student, my time is limited. My TV watching time is also limited. I cannot watch most shows until they are completed TV watching becomes a chore when you have 4 or more shows from the previous week to catch up on. I generally like to watch television alone.

The exception to this is if my friends and I are hanging out and we love the same show. If we already like the same show and have nothing else to do, we watch TV together. You only discuss a television program with people who also watch that television program.

Otherwise, people really don’t care with what you have to say about the show. TV is more personal so it’s best to be viewed alone.

Hope this answer helps you!!!

THANK YOU!!!
