Answer:

x2-x+2x-2 = 5/2

Or, x2+x-2 =5/2

Or, 2x2+2x-4 =5

Or, 2x2+2x-4-5 =0

Or, 2x2+2x-9=0

Or, x = [-2± root(2^2-4×2×-9)]/2×2

=(-2± root4+72)/4

=(-2±root76)/4

Given quadratic equation is,

(x+2)(x-1)=5/4

To calculate,

simplification of given equation

Calculations,

(x + 2)(x - 1) = \frac{5}{4} \\ \\ therefore \: multiplying \: both \\ sides \: by \: 4 \\ 4(x + 2)(x - 1) = 4 \times \frac{5}{4} \\ 4( {x}^{2} - x + 2x - 2) = 5 \\ 4( {x}^{2} + x - 2) = 5 \\ 4 {x}^{2} + 4x - 8 = 5 \\ 4 {x}^{2} + 4x - 8 - 5 = 0 \\ 4 {x}^{2} + 4x - 13 = 0 \\

hope it helps to you
