The distance travelled by the body : 1/2 × Circumference = πr

The displacement of the body : 2r

Hope it helps u....

Since the body covers half the revolution

So distance travelled =1/2×Circumference

=1/2×2πr

=πr.

Displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final position, So displacement must be equal to diameter of the circular path.

Displacement =2r.

Hope it helps you..
