Please check one rule.

Sum of all the angles on one side of a line is 180°.

Therefore, x= 180°- (40° +25°) = 115°

On the slant line, 40° + y= 180°

                        ⇒ y= 140°

Now check the opposite side of the horizontal line.

Here also y + z= 180°

            ⇒ z= 180° -y

            ⇒ z= 40°

65° + x = 180°

x = 180-65

x = 115°

z= 40°(vertically opposite angles are equal)

40°+y= 180°(linear pair of angles)

y = 180-40

y = 140°
