A Boat Race

The rains seem gloomy to some, but it is my favourite of all seasons. After the clouds cleared, I left my house to notice a small stream near the bushes. It was to muddy to play anything, but suddenly I realised that me and my friends can have a boat race.
I went home, called my friends, Manish and Arundhati, and grabbed some old newspaper and finally made boats. I also borrowed some small dolls from my younger brother. My friends and I were ready. Each of us had a paper boat with a small doll. The three of us let our boats flow down stream. Manish's boat hit a rock and stopped. This caused the paper doll to fall out. Arundhati's and my boat were at a neck-to-neck race. My boat was about to crash into a rock, when Arundhati's boat came and hit mine. This diverted it, but caused hers to sink.
Boat racing made us feel like we were in a forest expedition - every tiny rock felt like a mountain, every leaf felt like a poisonous tree and every earthworm seemed like an unknown enemy, who wanted to destroy us! We had a great time. I really hope it rains again so that I can race with my friends.
