Step-by-step explanation:

Hey mate iam here to solve your question .

Here the equation :

2x + 3y = 13

5x - 4y = -2

first we have to eleminate any number ( x or y ) . suppose i want to eleminate x coefficient . if the number will same then only we can eleminate .

in the above 1 equation the coefficient of x is 2 . in 2 equation the coefficient of x is 5 .

the 2 equations of x is not equal so We have to equal the 2 equations coefficient of x .

then the equations like this :

2x + 3y = 13 × 5

5x - 4y = ( -2 ) × 2

10x + 15y = 65

10x - 8y = -4

change the symbols of 2 equation .

10x + 15y =65

-10x + 8y = 4

10 will be cancel

23y = 69

y = 69/23

y = 3

substitute the y value in 1st equation

2x + 3×3 = 13

2x + 9 = 13

2x = 13 - 9

2x = 4

x = 4 / 2

x = 2

if you want to eleminate y . do same . answer will be same . you can see in youtube also .

thanks
