1. Few elements of highest atomic weights precede those with lower atomic weights
2. Elements with dissimilar properties were placed in same group as sub group A and sub group B. For ex alkali metals like li,na, k etc of 1A group have very little resemblance with coinage metals like cu, au, ag of 1B group. Cl is og 8A group and mn is of 8B group but chlorine is a non metal where as manganese is a metal
