1. Paiyampalli is a village in Tirupattur taluk of Vellore district in Tamil Nadu, India. It is located 5 km east of Barugur and 8 km west of Natrampalli. It is known for the excavation site in the region which has remains of neolithic and megalithic periods.

2.Most of the domestic animals familiar to us today were domesticated not long after people began farming and living in permanent settlements, between 8000 and 2500 BC. Domestic dogs are descended from wolves (Canis lupus).

3.Archaeologists who excavated the site found evidence of wild animals such as the deer and pig. In later levels, they found more bones of sheep and goat, and in still later levels, cattle bones are most common, suggesting that this was the animal that was generally kept by the people.
