By applying area of triangle formula and by applying area of square finding the area of this figure

area of ∆ = 1/2 × base × height

area of ∆ = 1/2 × 2 × 2

area of ∆ = 1 × 2 × 1

area of ∆ = 2 cm ² or m²

area of square = side²

=2²

= 4 cm² or m²

area of ∆ = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2× 5 × 2

= 1 × 5

= 5 cm ² or m²

finding area of last triangle

here base of ∆ = 2 + 2 + 5 = 9

area of ∆ = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 9 × 3.5

= 1 × 4.5 × 3.5

= 15.75 cm ² or m²

area of figure = 2 + 4 + 5 + 15.75

area of figure = 26.75 cm² or m²
