F=mg=10kg x 10ms¯²=100N
A=l x b
A =4cm x 5cm=20cm²=20 x 1/10000 m²=1/5000m²

Pressure =Force/Area
P=F/A
P=100N/1/5000m²=50000 Pa

chiragverma: please see your solution. 5*4=20 n

Hi there !!!

We have to find the pressure exerted by the cuboid on the ground when its dimensions are 5 cm × 4 cm [ base ]

We are given the mass of the cuboid as 10 kg.

Thrust = Force = mg

Thrust = 10 × 10 = 100 N.

Area of the base , lb = 5×4 = 20 cm²
= 0.002 m²

Pressure = Thrust ÷ Area
= 100 ÷ 0.002
= 50000 Pa
