1) By B. P. T theorem

.PQ/ QX= PR / RY

Let, QX = x

. 3/x = 4/5

By cross multiplying.

4x = 5× 3

4x = 15

x=4/15

x= 3.75

.

PX = PQ + QX

PX = 3+ 3.75

PX = 6.75 ( Option D).

2) In triangle ABC

angle ACB=90(angle in semicircle)

From Pythagoras theorem,

6^2 +BC^2=10^2

36+BC^2=100

BC^2=64

BC=8cm ( Option D)
