\frac{\frac{3}{7} z-\frac{1}{2}}{z-\frac{1}{4}} =\frac{2(6 z-7)}{7(4 z-1)}

\frac{2(6 z-7)}{7(4 z-1)}-\frac{3}{14}=\frac{1}{7}

Finding the LCM

7(4 z-1), 14,7=14(4 z-1)

\frac{2(6 z-7)}{7(4 z-1)} \cdot 14(4 z-1)-\frac{3}{14} \cdot 14(4 z-1)=\frac{1}{7} \cdot 14(4 z-1)

4(6 z-7)-3(4 z-1)=2(4 z-1)

14(6 z-7)-3(4 z-1)=12 z-25

2(4z-1)=8z-2

12z-25=8z-2

Adding 25 on both sides

12z-25+25=8z-2+25

12z=8z+23

Subtracting both sides by 8z

12z-8z=8z+23-8z

4z=23

Dividing both sides by 4

\frac{4z}{4}=\frac{23}{4}

z=\frac{23}{4}

Final Answer: z=\frac{23}{4} or z=5.75
