Explanation:

In figure a) the battery is not connect with cable so current is not present here and bulb can't burns or shines,...because there are no source of conduction of electricity

2)in figure a there are no battery so no terminal are present electrode of possitive and negative terminal not present

b) in this one terminal of battery connectic with possitive terminal called anod and negative ,,cathode

3) IIn figure b bulb glows due to the conduction of electricity because the source of current are present there is called battey .

4) Always current flows possitive terminal to negative terminal of battery in forward baise in figure b)
