- I woke up one morning to hear my parents yelling, " Get downstairs this instant Katie." I got off my bed and went to see what the fuss was. I saw a cute little dog in front of me. I glided on the floor and asked my mom, "Mom why were you yelling." My mom said, " Katie dear there is only one way to get you out of your room, and that is by making it look like you're in trouble." I started to laugh unable to control it. I fell on the floor laughing. The dog jumped on me and licked my face. It tickled me which made me laugh harder. When out of nowhere my laugh was interrupted by my alarm ringing. I frantically got up and looked around for my phone to turn my alarm off, but I saw the phone in my dad's hand. He said, " Sweetie now that you have a dog of your own we will be taking your phone until you're old enough to have a phone" I wanted to scream, but instead I kept quiet. Nothing could ruin this day. I finally got a dog. I ran upstairs to get ready for school when I see a new reddish orange book on my bed. I open it and see the words Diary of: Katie Jones. I put the book in my backpack and get ready to go to school. When I come home I'm greeted by the smell of hot cocoa and my furry little dog. I go upstairs, change into my favorite blue crew neck and orange night pants, and come downstairs. I sit down on the pull out bed in the den and drink some warm cocoa. My furry dog comes and cuddles next to me, but in it's mouth is my diary. I grab it gently from his mouth, grab a pen and start writing about my day.
