(a) <c=50°(angles opposite to equal sides are equal and AB=AC)

(b) since AD is bisector of <A

therefore<BAD=<CAD______(i)

now,

in triangle BAD and triangle CAD

AB=AC(given)

<BAD=<CAD(from i)

AD=AD(common side)

therefore, triangle BAD is congurent to triangle CAD

hence BD=CD(by CPCT)
