Note:-

  • Firstly we need to name the figure.
  • Refer to the attachment.

We have:-

ABCDE is a figure in which:-

  • ABC is a right - angled triangle
  • AED is a triangle

To Find:-

  • The value of x in the figure.

Solution:-

In triangle ABC

∠ABC = 90°

∠BCA = 40°

By applying angle - sum property of a triangle we can find the value of ∠BAC.

Hence,

∠BAC + ∠ABC + ∠BCA = 180°

= ∠BAC + 90° + 40° = 180°

=> ∠BAC + 130° = 180°

=> ∠BAC = 180° - 130°

=> ∠BAC = 50°

Now,

In triangle AED,

∠AED = 100°

∠DAE = 50°

∠ADE = x°

Here also by applying angle - sum property of traingle we can find the value of x.

Hence,

∠AED + ∠DAE + ∠ADE = 180°

= 100° + 50° + x = 180°

=> 150° + x = 180°

=> x = 180° - 150°

=> x = 30°

Hence the value of x is 30°
