here it goes
total area = area of 2 upper rectangles + 1 lower rectangle
area of upper (small) rectangle= 2*1=2 cm²
area of rectangle 2 is also 2 cm²
to find the area of rectangle 3,
upper and lower sides=4cm
left and right sides= 5-2=3cm
(-2 because it is given that the length of upper rectangles is 2 cm)
thus area of rectangle 3=3*4=12cm²
total area= 2+2+12
16cm²

vaaaaniiii: sorryyyy
vaaaaniiii: 4*2=8 and the total ans will be 8+5=13 cm ²

YOUR ANSWER IS AS FOLLOWS:
FIRST DIVIDE THE FIGURE INTO THREE FIGURES.
THE AREA OF THE TOP TWO RECTANGLES ARE 2 METER SQUARE .
THEREFORE TOTAL AREA OF THE TOP TWO TRIANGLES IS 4 METER SQUARE.
AREA OF THE BIGGER RECTANGLE BELOW IS (4*3)= 12 SQUARE METER.

THEREFORE TOTAL AREA IS 16 SQUARE METER

I HOPE THIS HELPS
