1)Charcoal burns without giving off water vapour because it contains only carbon while burning.
2) a flame always point upwards because the flame's gas is hotter than the surrounding air and a hot gas is always lighter or less dense than a cold gas.Hence a flame will always point upwards.
3) If the ignition temperature( minimum temperature at which a substance catches fire) is lower than the room temperature then it will burn spontaneously i.e. no external substance is required to burn the fuel.
