Step-by-step explanation:

iv) As per the question,

We have given the the polynomial, let say it P(x).

P(x) = x2 5x + 5

We have to find the value for x = 0

So,

Replace x by O in the P(x) = x² - 5x + 5, we get

P(x) = x2 - 5x + 5

P(0) = (0)? 5(0) + 5

P(0) = 0 -0 + 5

P(0) = 5

Hence, the value of the polynomial P(x) = x² - = 5x + 5 at x =O is = 5.

i) To answer this question, one should know what is proportion and what is mean proportional.

when four numbers say A,B,C,D are in similar quantities such that A:B= C:D then they are said to be in proportion.

when A,B,C are in continued proportion then B is said to be the mean proportional.

let us take A=9 and C=16 and B as X. then

A:X :: X:C

9:X :: X:16

x² = 9 x 16

x² = 144

Therefore, x = 12.

So, the mean proportional of 9 and 16 is 12.

Answer:

B :- 1 when four numbers say A,B,C,D are in similar quantities such that A:B= C:D then they are said to be in proportion.

when A,B,C are in continued proportion then B is said to be the mean proportional.

let us take A=9 and C=16 and B as X. then

A:X : : X:C \\  \\ </p><p></p><p>9:X : : X:16</p><p></p><p>

x ^{2}  = 9 \times 16 \\  \\ x ^{2}  = 144 \\  \\ x  = 12

2 :- Given:-

x = a, y=1

8x-3y=1

8(a) - 3(1) = 1

8a - 3 = 1

8a = 1 + 3

8a = 4

a = 4/8

a = 1/2

Therefore x = 1/2 & y = 1

3 :- in Above attachment ⬆️ 1st

4 :-

Let p(x)=x </p><p>2</p><p> −5x+5

∴p(0)=(0) </p><p>2</p><p> −5×0+5</p><p>=0−0+5=5

Hence , for x=0 the value of the polynomial is 5.
