Q1-
The elected representatives are the people who are chosen by the public to represent them in the upper levels of the government. They are expected to help and adhere to the public’s problems.

Q2-
Democracy is a free form of government. Hence, people choose a candidate to rule them and thus represent them in higher forms of government.

Q3-
In a democracy, the decisions are slow to take place. This is because it takes the opinion of various people. Firstly a decision is passed in the Rajya and Lok sabha. Only and only after it is approved by both the sabhas(more than half) it becomes a bill. It is then given to the president to be signed and made a law. If it isn't passed by either of the sabhas then it is re-evaluated. And so on.

Q4-
Citizens play a quite major role in Democracy.
•They elect the candidates to represent them.
•They can just as easily remove the candidate in next election if they weren't happy with his/her work.
• People can emphasize what they want and make the government see to it through rallies and like.

Hope this helps
