x =  \frac{ - b± \sqrt{ {b}^{2}  - 4ac} }{2a}

1. i)

x =  \frac{ - ( - 8)± \sqrt{ {( - 8)}^{2}  - 4(3)( - 3)} }{2(3)} \\   \\ x =  \frac{8±10}{6}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{18}{6}  = 3 \\  \\ x =   \frac{ - 2}{6}  =  \frac{ - 1}{3}

ii)

x =  \frac{ - ( - 11)± \sqrt{ {( - 8)}^{2}  - 4(2)(9)} }{2(2)}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{11±7}{4}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{18}{4}  =  \frac{9}{2}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{4}{4}  = 1

 \frac{x + 3}{x + 2}  =  \frac{3x - 7}{2x - 3}

(x + 3)(2x - 3) = (3x - 7)(x + 2)

2 {x}^{2}  - 3x + 6x - 9 = 3 {x}^{2}  + 6x - 7x - 14 \\  {x}^{2}  - 4x - 5 = 0

x =  \frac{ - ( - 4)± \sqrt{ {( - 4)}^{2} - 4(1)( - 5) } }{2(1)}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{4±6}{2}  \\  \\ x =  \frac{10}{2} = 5  \\  \\ x =  \frac{ - 2}{2}  =  - 1
