History, asked by gunatejagali, 9 months ago

please tell me the main idea of this

Dear Anand,
I always wanted to visit India- the land of Gandhi, the land of Buddha and spiritual nirvana. I landed in Gujarat. I was very happy visiting Sabarmati Ashram and went around the city. There I noticed the city had practically two divisions-the Hindus and the Muslims. The unspoken boundary was always evident and an air of distrust was palpable. Enquiring further I found out that few years ago there were communal riots. It’s ironic that such as a despicable act occurred at the same place where Gandhi expounded on the principles of Ahimsa, tolerance and equality for all.

Answer:

It says that this country of India whose father Gandhi expounded on the principles of Ahimsa, tolerance and equality for all still has some dark history. People are still experiencing differences in religions! Even near the sabarmati ashram!
