General rules for changing direct speech into indirect speech. Omit all inverted commas or quotation marks. End the sentence with a full stop. If the verb inside the inverted commas/quotation marks is in the present tense, change it into the corresponding past tense.

Hey Chika ❤

We change direct into indirect speech, pronouns, tense and words indicating nearness undergo changes.
▶TENSE
✴If the reporting verb is in the present past future tense, the tense of the verb in the reported speech does not change.
✴If the reporting verb is in the past tense, the tense of the verb in the reported speech is changed into its corresponding past tense.
Exceptions for the above rule :
☑ In case of universal truth or habitual facts.
☑ in case of historical facts.
☑ in case of hypothetical conditions.
_______________________________
▶ PRONOUNS
✴We change personal pronoun in the first person used in indirect speech according to the subject of the reporting verb in indirect speech.
✴ We change personal pronoun in the second person in direct speech according to the object of the reporting verb.
✴ Personal pronoun in the third person do not change in indirect speech.
_______________________________
▶WORDS INDICATING NEARNESS
while passing from direct to indirect speech, words expressing nearness in time and place generally changed into words expressing distance.
